Dubuque Regional Sports Commission

The Dubuque Convention and Visitor's Bureau has facilitated the creation of a Sports Commission that works to attract amateur athletic events to the Dubuque area. The commission has a 7 member Executive Board representing Dubuque and Dyersville. There are over 20 volunteers and staff to lead the sports marketing effort in Dubuque County.

Dubuque has been the host for a number of different regional and national fishing tournaments, Iowa Winter Games, Dock Dogs on ESPN, Stihl Timbersports on ESPN, the national and international Dragon Boat Races and Division III National Wrestling Tournaments. Most recently Dubuque hosted the Hurster Cup.
